The Ministry of Health has revised the regulations pertaining to the wearing of face masks in light of the Covid-19 pandemic in Sri Lanka.
The Director General of Health Services Dr. Asela Gunaratne said it is mandatory to wear face masks during public gatherings and while indoors in public places.
He further said that it is also mandatory to wear face masks when travelling on public transportation.
The regulations pertaining to the wearing of face masks in Sri Lanka have been revised considering the current Covid-19 situation in the country, he added.
