The Public Utilities Commission says that the Ceylon Electricity Board has requested to submit the proposals related to the electricity bill reduction to the Commission by tomorrow (17).
Although the proposals were to be submitted to the Commission on May 1st, the Public Utilities Commission had extended the period until the 10th on a request made by the Electricity Board.
However, on the last 10th day, the Ceylon Electricity Board has not submitted the relevant proposals to the Commission. Accordingly, the Public Utilities Commission has again issued a reminder to the Ceylon Electricity Board.
After receiving the relevant proposals, the process for reducing the electricity bill will be started, and the percentage of electricity bill reduction can be announced in July, the Public Utilities Commission further stated.
