In the Gampaha district, which has been identified as having a high-risk situation, the use of drone technology was started in Gampaha city yesterday (25) to check dengue and apply insecticides. It was found that there are mosquito larvae in several places including teaching classes.

First, mosquito breeding sites in high buildings were identified using surveillance drone cameras and insecticides were applied. Gampaha Health Medical Officer Mr. Rohana Ranasinghe said that a number of places where mosquitoes breed in high buildings were identified during this inspection and legal action will be taken against the owners of all those places.
