The Government Medical Officers Association says that they will launch a 24-hour token strike from 8:00 am today (08).
According to this, the media secretary of the association Dr Chamil Weerasinghe stated that this token strike is being implemented in protest against the government’s new tax policy and the government’s lack of proper response to the shortage of medicines in the country.
The Government Medical Officers Association further stated that there will be no restriction on emergency treatment services during the strike period and all necessary measures have been taken to maintain emergency services.
