Sri Lanka ‘A’ team, who laid a good foundation for their second innings with the strength of the two opening batsmen Oshadha Fernando and Nishan Madushka, managed to reduce the huge score gap of 331 runs scored by the England Lions team in the first innings to 103 runs yesterday (01) evening.

Sri Lanka A team had accumulated 228 runs with the loss of one wicket when the match ended yesterday, which was the second day of the match. There Oshadha Fernando managed to score an excellent century for Sri Lanka and he scored 134 runs. Oshadha, who collected 18 fours in his innings, played a faster inning than the other opening batsman, Nishan.
