The committee appointed to look into the matter has recommended that the ban imposed on Sri Lankan cricketer Danushka Gunathilaka be lifted completely. It was earlier decided to suspend all his cricket activities due to the allegations levelled against him.
The committee which probed into this with due regard to his acquittal and its impact on his career and cricketing ambition has unanimously recommended lifting his ban.
It is further stated that the Executive Committee of Sri Lanka Cricket has approved this recommendation in the meeting held on the 13th of October 2023.
