Dambulla marked their first win in NSL second season

The Dambulla team managed to record their first victory in the National Super League cricket tournament yesterday (29th). In the match against the Jaffna team, the Dambulla players, chasing a target of 204 runs, managed to record the victory with 5 wickets in 56 overs and one ball.

Sanoj scored an unbeaten 60 runs for the Dambulla team and led the team to victory, and captain Minod Bhanuka, who gave him great support, scored a half-century. The Jaffna team, who batted first in this match held at SSC Stadium in Colombo, scored 62 runs in the first innings and 349 runs in the second innings.

The Dambulla team scored 213 runs in the first innings and 204 runs in the second innings to secure the victory. This was the first match that the Dambulla team won in the National Super League cricket tournament and they lost by innings against the Galle team in the previous match.

Dambulla 1st innings: 213 – (Minod Bhanuka 67, Nimesh Gunasinghe 10, Ranitha Liyanaarachchi 51, Sanoj Darshika 18, Vishwa Punanda 25, Yasiru Rodrigo 52/3, Nipun Malinga 39/2, Eshan Malinga 39/2, Dilum Sudheera 18/2 )
