The Attorney General has informed the Court of Appeal yesterday (17) that a charge sheet has been filed against State Minister Sanath Nishantha for contempt of court.
This notice was given when the complaints presented by the Sri Lanka Judicial Officers Association and two lawyers namely Priyalal Sirisena and Wijitha Kumara were summoned before the Court of Appeal.
At that time, the respondent State Minister Mr Sanath Nishantha also appeared in the court and the complaint has been ordered to be called again on February 23.
