Cabinet approves 25 proposals to boost the SL tourism industry

The cabinet approved the implementation of the recommendations of the ministerial sub-committee appointed to promote the tourism industry for economic revival.

In order to identify the existing obstacles and opportunities to promote the tourism industry and make recommendations to the Cabinet regarding the steps to be taken to remove those obstacles and utilize the existing opportunities in the most effective manner, headed by the Minister of Ports, Navigation and Aviation Services and with the participation of six other ministers, this sub-ministerial committee The committee was appointed.

The Minister of Tourism and Lands has submitted the report with 25 recommendations presented by the Ministerial Sub-Committee for the approval of the Ministerial Council and the Ministerial Council has expressed its agreement to implement the said recommendations. (Lankadeepa)
