Nethmi Ahinsa, who managed to win a medal for Sri Lanka in wrestling for the first time in the history of the 22nd Commonwealth Games, has arrived in the island early today (08).
Sports Ministry officials and wrestling association officials had come to the airport premises to welcome her.
Nethmi Ahinsa, who represented the women’s 57 kg wrestling event at the 22nd Commonwealth Games, won a bronze medal and the medal won by Nethmi Ahinsa is among the records as the first medal won by Sri Lanka in a wrestling event at the Commonwealth Games.
