The Belmont Institute of Higher Education proudly celebrated its Graduation Ceremony for
the Class of 2025, at Water’s Edge in Colombo marking a significant milestone in the academic
and professional journeys of its graduating students. The ceremony honored learners who
successfully completed their academic and professional programmes, recognizing their
perseverance, dedication, and commitment to excellence.

The event underscored Belmont Institute’s ongoing mission to deliver quality, career-oriented
education aligned with global standards, while equipping students with the practical
competencies and ethical grounding required in today’s competitive professional environment.
Held in Colombo, the graduation ceremony was attended by distinguished guests, senior
management, academic faculty, parents, and graduates, creating an atmosphere of pride,
celebration, and reflection. The presence of families and well-wishers added emotional
significance to the occasion, as graduates celebrated the culmination of years of academic effort
and personal growth.

Graduates of the Class of 2025 were formally conferred certificates and diplomas across a broad
range of disciplines, reflecting the institute’s diverse academic portfolio and its strong emphasis
on employability and industry relevance. Programmes represented at the ceremony included
areas such as Business and Management Studies, Human Resource Management,
Information Technology, Professional Development, Education, and other career-focused
qualifications, all designed to meet evolving market demands.

The program began with a warm welcome, followed by an opening address that highlighted the
hard work, perseverance, and dedication shown by the students throughout their academic
journey. Inspirational speeches encouraged graduates to embrace future challenges with
confidence, integrity, and determination. Lecturers highlighted the institute’s commitment to
providing quality higher education and preparing students to meet professional and societal
challenges with confidence and integrity.

Addressing the gathering, Chairman Mr. Faiz Sherifdeen congratulated the graduates on their
achievements and encouraged them to embrace the responsibilities that come with professional
success. He emphasized that graduation is not merely the completion of a programme, but the
beginning of a lifelong journey of learning, adaptability, and ethical leadership.
“Graduation marks the beginning of a new phase of responsibility, where knowledge must be
applied with integrity and purpose,” he stated. “In an ever-evolving professional landscape,
success belongs to those who remain curious, adaptable, and committed to continuous learning.”

Mr. Sherifdeen further highlighted the role of education in shaping responsible, values-driven
professionals who contribute meaningfully to both society and the economy. He noted that
Belmont Institute of Higher Education remains committed to nurturing graduates who are not
only technically competent, but also socially conscious and globally minded.

Academic representatives of the institute reaffirmed Belmont Institute’s commitment to
bridging the gap between education and industry through programmes that integrate theoretical
knowledge with practical application. The institute’s curriculum is continuously reviewed and
updated in collaboration with academic experts and professional partners to ensure relevance to
current and future workforce requirements.

The ceremony also featured heartfelt speeches from student representatives, who expressed
gratitude to teachers, parents, and mentors for their unwavering support. Their words reflected
shared memories, challenges overcome, and hopes for the future. The ceremony also recognized
student council members of Belmont Institute for their outstanding commitment on organizing
events and presented them with the prestigious Belmont Medal.

Faculty members commended the graduates for their resilience and determination, particularly in
navigating the academic challenges and evolving learning environments of recent years. They
noted that the Class of 2025 demonstrated exceptional adaptability, discipline, and a strong
commitment to personal and professional development.

Graduates, in turn, expressed sincere appreciation for the guidance and mentorship provided by
faculty and management throughout their academic journey. Many highlighted the institute’s
emphasis on professional readiness, confidence-building, critical thinking, and real-world
skills, which they believe have prepared them effectively for employment, entrepreneurship, and
further academic pursuits.

Parents and guardians attending the ceremony shared in the pride of the occasion, acknowledging
the institute’s supportive learning environment and its role in shaping the futures of their
children. The event served not only as a celebration of academic success, but also as a
reaffirmation of the collective effort between students, educators, and families.

The ceremony concluded on a celebratory note, symbolizing a new chapter for the graduates of
the Class of 2025 as they transition into the next phase of their lives. As they step into
professional roles across diverse sectors, the graduates carry forward the values, knowledge, and
skills instilled during their time at Belmont Institute of Higher Education.

With a growing reputation for quality education, industry alignment, and outcomes-driven
learning, Belmont Institute of Higher Education continues to strengthen its position as a
provider of forward-looking academic and professional programmes. The institute remains
steadfast in its vision to develop competent, confident, and ethical professionals who contribute
positively to national development and the global economy.
