Last night (11) former Minister Basil Rajapaksa who arrived at Katunayake Airport has come to leave the country through the silk road departure terminal of Katunayake Airport.
There, the immigration and emigration officers at the Silk Road departure terminal at Katunaka Airport have been relieved of their duties.
Therefore, it is stated that former minister Basil Rajapaksa has not been able to leave the island.
In the meantime, the Sri Lankan Immigration Officers Association has issued a statement stating that considering the current situation in the country, it has decided to withdraw from the Silk Road passenger clearance activities from midnight until further notice.
