Bangladesh’s first metro rail system has been inaugurated by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina yesterday (28) in Dhaka.
Foreign media reports that this metro rail system has been built from the Uttara capital of Dhaka to the Agargaon area.
It is said that the entire construction is to be completed by 2030 and its first part is 12 km long.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said that the first high-speed train service with a maximum speed of 110 km per hour is a great achievement for Bangladesh while inaugurating the metro line in Dhaka today. (Reuters)
