A search operation was conducted by SLNS Vijaya of the Northwestern Naval Command in collaboration with the Police Crime Division Puttalam. The Ceylon Private Bus Owners’ Association has said that bus fares will not be revised in response to the recent revision in fuel prices. Chairman Gemunu Wijeratne said that bus fares are determined by a specific price formula, and a reduction of Rs. 10 in fuel prices is insufficient to warrant a fare adjustment.
