Sri Lanka Customs officers at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA), Katunayake, have arrested 13 foreign passengers for allegedly attempting to smuggle a consignment of foreign-manufactured cigarettes into the country. The Department of Irrigation states that water levels in rivers are gradually receding following a progressive reduction in rainfall over the past few days.Director of Irrigation (Hydrology and Disaster Management), L.S.
