The Ministry of Education has decided to close all government schools and government approved private schools in the Colombo city limits for a week due to the ongoing fuel crisis.The Secretary to the Ministry MN Ranasinghe stated that it has been decided to implement the education system online during that week and requested the Public Utilities Commission not to make any power cuts during the day during that period.Instructions have been given to run all other schools in the island without transport problems at the discretion of the principals.
