The Department of Meteorology says that some rains may occur in Eastern and Uva provinces and in Hambantota and Polonnaruwa districts.In Western, Sabaragamuwa and Central Provinces and in Galle, Matara and Kurunegala Districts, scattered rain or thundershowers may occur in the evening or at night.There is a possibility of some rain in the morning in the coastal areas of the Western Province.The Department of Meteorology urges individuals to take the required precautions to reduce the risks brought on by storm-related lightning and transient high winds.
