The National Water Supply and Drainage Board says that water supply will be suspended to several areas in Colombo tomorrow (24). Minister of Tourism and Lands Harin Fernando says that the limit of 10.00 pm which was set for the end of musical shows has been revised. For the first time in eight months, Sri Lanka’s tea sector has reached a key milestone as exports surpass 20 million kilos in a single month.According to figures from the Sri Lanka Tea Board, tea exports in May were 20.55 million kilograms, a significant rise from the 16.16 million kilos exported in April.Nevertheless, despite this recent expansion, total tea exports from January and May 2023 fell by around 10.7% compared to the same period the previous year, totalling 90.80 million kilograms as opposed to 101.72 million kilograms.
