Are you also a highly sensitive person? Then following these points will be worth your life

Are you an extremely sensitive person? When asked that, either a lot of people will say yes. Others are a little confused as to how to answer it. Well, the easiest of all is to first recognize what a highly sensitive person is. As the name suggests, a highly sensitive person (HSP) is very sensitive to what they experience in the world. These people do not like violence or cruelty at all. These people absorb the feelings of others. That’s why it hurts. Think very deeply. Emotions like sadness and happiness are felt more deeply than these people. But a sensitive person feels sad even with small things.

Now, because of these traits, there is either an extremely sensitive person who is constantly hurt. Otherwise, others always criticize these people saying ‘don’t be a baby’.

So if you are such an extremely sensitive person, how do you really live?

1. Adequate sleep, healthy life

Do you have to be a sensitive person to do these two things right? Actually, these are the things that apply to everyone. But it is very important that a very sensitive person does these things. For example, people get mood upset and feel difficulty due to lack of adequate sleep. So, a sensitive person who can get upset over little things cannot play the game without enough sleep. So good sleep is essential.

Also, it is essential to maintain the balance of a sensitive person by taking good, nutritious meals at the right time and maintaining a healthy life.

2. Noise-cancelling headphones

An HSP is usually startled and uncomfortable by loud noises. That’s why it’s a good idea to always have two noise-cancelling headphones with you. Then you can wear it except when you need to be sensitive to the sounds of the surrounding environment, like driving a vehicle. It has two advantages. One is that a pair of noise-cancelling headphones cut off the sounds coming from outside, reducing the chances of being uncomfortable and startled. Secondly, because you can listen to music that you like and give you a good positive feeling, the chances of mood swings are reduced and you get a chance to fix your mood.

3. Don’t advertise that “I am sensitive”

There is a good reason why this should not be done. In general, nowadays, a person who is called an extremely sensitive person is more likely to be viewed critically by the general society. “Why are you so sad?”, “Why are you acting like a baby?” Some people look at an extremely sensitive person with such ideas. So by being criticized for their way, a sensitive person will be pushed into a difficult place.

So first understand who you are. Then accept who you are. Beyond that, don’t tell others who you are.

4. Kind people who think alike

In general, we tell everyone not to associate with those evil people. So an extremely sensitive person has to take that warning double seriously. For example, a highly sensitive person should take care to choose the people around them very carefully. It is really easy to have kind people around you. A kind and a good-hearted person will never say or do hurtful things. Even if something is hurtful, such a person says it very carefully, so as not to break the other person’s heart. That’s why it’s worth keeping such people around.

Also, it is valuable to be close to people who are kind enough to understand that they are not alone in this world, who think like them or can understand their way of thinking.

5. Follow the Heidi Method

One of the best things a highly sensitive person can do is act like Heidi in the book Heidi by Johanna Spyri. Heidi’s life goal is to see the bright side of everything. He does it as a game. That means he finds something good, something to be happy about even in the most miserable things he encounters. Practising this here is extremely important for a highly sensitive person. It doesn’t matter if you think it’s a must-play game.

Let’s take an example. Can we accept that it is good for us to get sick when we work too much? But we can think like this. Being sick is not good, but it has given us a little break. We can make a little plan on how to complete the work during that break. You can get better and work in the double. That’s a good thing.

6. Be kind to yourself

This is very important for an HSP. Being kind to yourself. Something we said above is to understand who you are and what you are like. And then accepting who you are. After that, you need to be kind to yourself. For example, we definitely have our mistakes, shortcomings and weaknesses. It applies not only to a highly sensitive person but to anyone. But don’t go to self-criticize it harshly. Build them slowly. Think positively about yourself. Especially since a highly sensitive person gets hurt easily, he gets angry with himself for that too. “All this is because I am sensitive”. We say don’t think like that. At such a moment, talk to yourself and your inner self with love and kindness. Try to understand things through that inner dialogue.

7. Make sensitivity a gift

This may seem like a difficult task at once. Is sensitivity a gift? Yes. There are people in this world who are very insensitive and numb. They don’t feel another person’s sadness and tears that much. Even though it seems, he thinks about it cynically. But this kind of person is sensitive to another person’s pain. Come and use it to do good for others in the world. But there is one. A single person cannot be sensitive to the suffering of the whole world. Especially if an HSP is going to do that, he will break down very quickly. Come on so we can focus on only one place at a time. Learn to focus your attention on one place at a time. Otherwise, don’t go to be miserable in the world.

8. Keep boundaries but don’t build walls

One thing that HSP sometimes do is build walls to prevent themselves from being emotionally hurt. That means either they think I should be tougher. Thinking like that, he tries to act tough. Otherwise, they try to be emotionally distant from others. But it is not successful. It ends by hurting yourself further.

But instead, you can maintain some limits. For example, you have to learn to say no to something you can’t do. They should learn to put their country first, forget themselves and do things while doing their own things, and do things for others if possible. Also, they need to learn not to pretend to be themselves.

If so, don’t forget to post your thoughts in the comment section while sharing this article.
