The Executive Committee of the International Monetary Fund gave its approval yesterday (12) to immediately give the second instalment of the loan given to Sri Lanka. Accordingly, Sri Lanka is to receive an amount of US$ 337 million as the second instalment.
Yesterday (12) the first review conducted by the officials of the International Monetary Fund to find out the progress achieved in the implementation of the aid program given to Sri Lanka was presented to the Executive Committee.
The Executive Committee stated that Sri Lanka is satisfied with the progress made in the implementation of the aid program and therefore approves the second instalment to be given to Sri Lanka.
