In response to many requests from parents, the Education Ministry has extended the deadline for submitting applications to enroll Grade One pupils in public schools for the 2023 academic year. August 15, 2022, has been added to the deadline. Previously, the deadline was set to expire on August 1 of this year.
Provincial Directors of Education around the nation have been advised of the revised deadline by Education Ministry Secretary M.N. Ranasinghe in a special circular.
