Afghanistan’s Taliban rulers have taken steps to ban Afghan women from entering amusement parks and fitness centres.
US-led NATO forces left Afghanistan in August 2021. Then the Taliban came back to power and established a new government. Today, Afghanistan is ruled by the Taliban.
International human rights organizations have explained that the Taliban rulers have implemented their own draconian Sharia law, and have taken away the right of Afghan females to live freely.
Girls’ education is also banned. Women are also prohibited from working. Yesterday (9), the Taliban rulers banned their women from entering amusement parks and fitness centres.
These new restrictions on women have been imposed by the Afghan Taliban government’s Ministry of Ethical Society. (AFP)
