Scott Nathan, CEO of the United States International Development Finance Corporation, announced today (08) that a financial facility of US$ 553 million will be provided to Colombo West International Terminal Private Company for the development of the deep water container terminal at the port of Colombo, Sri Lanka.
Scott Nathan said this at the ceremony held today (08) at the Cinnamon Grand Hotel in Colombo to announce the financing. Minister of Foreign Affairs Ali Sabri, Chief of Presidential Staff and National Security Advisor Sagala Ratnayake, Indian High Commissioner to Sri Lanka Gopal Bhagle and Sri Lanka were present at the ceremony. US Ambassador Julie Chung also attended.
