The Ministry of Finance has decided to cut all allowances given so far to all public representatives, including ministers, when they travel abroad for official work.
Allowances given to government ministers, provincial governors, members of parliament, provincial council ministers and chairmen, metropolitan council mayors and local council chairmen will be cut.
Sources in the Ministry of Finance state that the decision to cut costs will be effective from March 20th. (Lankadeepa)
