In the third match of the Asia Cup Twenty20 cricket tournament, the Afghanistan team managed to qualify for the Super 4 round of the tournament by recording an excellent victory over Bangladesh by 7 wickets.
Bangladesh won the toss and decided to bat first and they scored 127 runs for the loss of 7 wickets.
In batting, Mujib ur Rahman managed to dismiss Mohammad Naeem for 6 runs, Anamul Haque for 5 runs, skipper Shakib Al Hasan for 11 runs, Mushfiqar Rahim was dismissed for one run, Afif Hossain was dismissed for 12 runs.
Mosadak Hossain managed to score 48 runs not out in 31 balls.
Afghanistan, who played the reply innings, had a target of 128 runs, and they managed to pass it by losing 3 wickets at the end of 18.3 overs.
With this victory, Afghanistan became the first team to qualify for the Super 4 round of this year’s Asia Cup, and the team that wins the match between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh tomorrow (01) will also qualify for the Super 4 round from Group ‘B’.
The man of the match was Mujeeb Ur Rahman of the Afghanistan team who took 3 wickets for 16 runs.
