That is because the Sri Lankan team had to experience a sharp defeat of 04 runs in the match against Afghanistan.
Noting the highest number of runs collected by a team in this tournament, the Afghan team scored 323 runs for 7 wickets at the end of the scheduled 50 overs.
Accordingly, Afghanistan and Bangladesh qualified for the finals of the tournament.
