On February 15, 2023, Axiata Digital Labs (ADL), the renowned innovative software solutions provider, highlighted its commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) with a valuable donation of dry rations and everyday essentials to the Social Services Elders Home in Moratuwa. This CSR effort was yet another chapter of the ADL Heartbeat initiative, the company’s dedicated CSR arm that demonstrates ADL’s unwavering commitment to supporting communities in need.

ADL Heartbeat was founded in 2019 with the goal of bringing the team in Sri Lanka together to aid in providing much-needed assistance to marginalized groups through charitable efforts, contributing towards social development, and supporting initiatives that create a positive impact on the lives of individuals and communities. Through the ADL Heartbeat initiative, ADL has been involved in a number of initiatives such as providing educational support to underprivileged children by donating computers and IT equipment, assisting the elderly in our community with essential food supplies, and many more.

The most recent donation to the Social Services Elders Home in Moratuwa, a long-standing partner of ADL Heartbeat and is yet another shining example of ADL Heartbeat’s mission to contribute towards the betterment of Sri Lankan society. The ADL office in Sri Lanka got together to donate a variety of dry rations including rice, flour, sugar, spices, dry and canned meals, and other necessities such as toiletries and office supplies.

Commenting on the initiative, Thushera Kawdawatta, Chief Executive Officer at Axiata Digital Labs said, “At ADL, we believe in giving back to the communities we operate in. We are committed to supporting efforts that make a positive impact on society through our ADL Heartbeat initiative. I am pleased to see our teams working together to make a positive impact on society and contribute towards the wellbeing of the elderly residents at the home.”

The donation was received by the staff and management of the Social Services Elders Home, who expressed their appreciation to ADL for the generous gesture. The dry rations and everyday essentials will go a long way in fulfilling the resident’s fundamental needs and enhancing their quality of life. Through a variety of CSR initiatives, ADL continues to show its passion for positively impacting society. Axiata Digital Labs is poised to make a difference in the lives of those in need and create a better future for all with ADL Heartbeat.
