The Minister of Agriculture, Wildlife and Wildlife Conservation Mahinda Amaraweera states that a program will be initiated to acquire all paddy lands that have been left uncultivated throughout the island for a period of 05 years to cultivate food crops.
The Ministry of Agriculture stated that this matter was discussed at the Parliamentary Consultative Committee meeting of the Ministry of Agriculture.
