President Volodymyr Zelensky has said that he will continue to fight against the Russian invasion and defeat the Russian forces, addressing the people of Ukraine on New Year’s Eve 2023.
Russia followed a military action against Ukraine on February 24, 2022. That is because Ukraine expressed interest in joining NATO.

Meanwhile, a few hours after the arrival of the new year 2023, Russian forces launched a series of rocket attacks on the capital of Ukraine, Kyiv, and other major cities. The missiles hit the capital city of Kyiv 30 minutes after New Year 2023. (AFP)
