The Ceylon Electricity Board says that it is expected to reduce the electricity bill by 50% from the increase in last October.
According to that, the relevant proposal will be given to the Public Utility Commission as soon as possible, its media spokesman Engineer Noel Priyantha said.
He further mentioned that due to the expected amount of rain in 2023, the benefits will be given to the public.
