The Sri Lanka Coordinating Office of the United Nations has started a program to collect aid for Sri Lanka to provide food security and medical facilities including medicine.
Accordingly, the website www.undp.org/srilanka/donate is available to anyone around the world to donate money.
UN Resident Coordinator Hanna Singer says that Sri Lanka is facing the worst economic crisis since independence and the impact of the crisis has spread to all areas such as food security, health, and education.
She further mentioned that the friends of Sri Lanka are invited to join together for the country on this occasion.
