Sports Minister Roshan Ranasinghe has filed a motion before the Court of Appeal requesting the removal of the interim orders issued by the Interim Control Committee which was appointed to manage the activities of the Sri Lanka Cricket Institute.
Accordingly, it is stated that the relevant objections have been submitted through their private lawyers.
The Court of Appeal, which considered a petition filed by the Sri Lanka Cricket Association, had issued an interim restraining order suspending the activities of the Interim Cricket Control Committee appointed under the chairmanship of Mr Arjuna Ranatunga and the related gazette notification.
It is further stated that the Sports Minister has submitted this motion requesting the removal of the interim orders.
