Australian High Commissioner David Holly has stated that he will support the progress of Sri Lanka’s economic, social and maritime sectors.
He has mentioned that Australia is well aware of the economic problem facing Sri Lanka in a meeting held with President Gotabaya Rajapaksa this afternoon (04) at the President’s House.
The President’s Media Division states that $50 million was the highest amount of humanitarian aid given to Sri Lanka by a single country.
The Australian High Commissioner has further stated that this is just the beginning and that he will continue to support Sri Lanka in other fields.
