The Central Bank of Sri Lanka reports that in October 2022, remittances from Sri Lankan expatriate employees totalled 355.4 million US dollars.
However, last September, the country received 359 million US dollars as foreign labour remittances.
It is further reported that the country has received 2,929.4 million US dollars as remittances between January and October 2022.
