Sri Lanka’s merchandise exports have declined by 14.6% to USD 898 million in October 2023 compared to October 2022.
Sri Lanka Customs states that it is a decrease of 13.13% compared to the value recorded in September 2023.
It is further stated that the decrease in demand for export products in sectors such as garments and textiles, rubber and rubber-related products and coconut and coconut-related products has led to a decline in merchandise exports.
