The Ceylon Petroleum Statutory Corporation announces that the daily operations of the Sapugaskanda Fuel Refinery will be temporarily suspended for 45 days from July 2024.
The announcement states that the refinery will be closed for mandatory maintenance and repair work as is done every three years.
It is stated that maximum production capacity and safe and reliable operation of Sapugaskanda Fuel Refinery is expected for the next 03 years.
The announcement further stated that despite the suspension of refinery operations, adequate fuel stock has been ordered and maintained at maximum capacity during the relevant period, and steps have been taken to continuously supply fuel to consumers without any interruption.
