Former minister Nimal Siripala de Silva has requested President Ranil Wickramasinghe to conduct an impartial investigation into the allegation that a cabinet minister asked for a bribe from Japan’s Thaise Company.
Accordingly, the President has decided to appoint a committee chaired by the retired High Court Judge, President’s Advocate Kusala Sarojani Weerawardena to investigate the related allegations.
