The new selection committee chaired by Upul Tharanga has decided to appoint new captains for the three Sri Lanka Test, ODI and T20 teams.
Accordingly, it is said that the selection committee has focused on giving the Test captaincy to Dhananjaya de Silva, the ODI captaincy to Kusal Mendis, and the Twenty20 captaincy to Wanindu Hasaranga.
It is further stated that Kusal Mendis will be the vice-captain of the Test team and Charit will be appointed as the vice-captain of the ODI and T20 teams.
