Opposition leader Sajith Premadasa has challenged the government to hold a presidential election to find out who has the public opinion. Accordingly, the opposition leader said that by holding a presidential election, it will be possible to see who is able to get 50% of the votes and who is not.
The opposition leader said this while replying to the President’s statement that although all the political parties in the Parliament are united, none of them have a 50% voter base at the moment.
