Sri Lanka Cricket has agreed, in partnership with the Ministry of Tourism, to dedicate the first Test match between Sri Lanka and Australia to cricket legend Shane Warne.
Harin Fernando, Sri Lanka’s Minister of Tourism, announced that Cricket Australia has confirmed that Warne’s wife and family members will also attend the Warne commemorative Test match.
The first Test match between the hosts and the visiting Aussies will be held on June 29th at the Galle International Cricket Ground and he was a key factor in restoring Sri Lanka Cricket following the 2004 Tsunami disaster.
