World Children’s Day or Universal Children’s Day is celebrated in all countries to remind us that it is the duty of the world community to give priority to saving all children for the future of the world.

World Children’s Day, which started on the second Sunday of June in the year 1856, is celebrated in many countries of the world and Sri Lanka’s Children’s Day falls on October 1st.

Also, today (01) is ‘World Elderly Day’ dedicated to the world’s elderly community.
