Manusha Nanayakkara, the minister of labor and foreign employment, announced Tuesday that visas are prepared to transfer 1,125 Sri Lankans to South Korea quickly and 250 employees would be sent there each week.

At a discussion with a group of Korean job seekers at the Foreign Employment Bureau, the Minister shared his opinions.

Participants included representatives from the Sri Lanka Foreign Employment Bureau and the Korean Human Resources Department.

The Minister stated that the appropriate procedures had already been made to avoid the delays experienced by Korean job seekers asking for visas and that incentives and objectives had been set for the staff of the Foreign Employment Bureau. The Minister said that a new testing facility with greater amenities would be built to administer Korean tests, and he also stated that he is talking with the Korean Human Resources Department to expand the number of Korean employment openings in the upcoming year.
