The vehicle registration fees were changed in a special gazette published on the 14th by Ministers Bandula Gunawardena of Mass Media and Transport and Highways.
The tariff revision related to that gazette announcement is going to be implemented from tomorrow (18) onwards.
Accordingly, the new fee to be paid for the first registration of vehicles of 1600cc or less than 1600cc is Rs 25,000, and the fee to be paid for the first time of registration of vehicles above 1600cc is Rs 40,000.
