The Department of Meteorology says that some light rains may occur in the Uva province and Batticaloa and Ampara districts.
The department stated that there is mainly rainless weather on the rest of the island.
A cold weather condition can be expected in the early morning today and there is a possibility of frost in some places in the Nuwara Eliya district.
