The Department of Meteorology says that rain or thundershowers may occur in Uva and Sabaragamuwa provinces and Galle, Matara and Nuwara Eliya districts today (29) in the evening or at night.
The department also mentioned that rain or thundershowers may occur in a few places in the Western Province and Kandy District.
In the rest of the island, there will be mainly rainless weather, while Sabaragamuwa, Central and Uva provinces and Galle and Matara districts may have foggy conditions in the morning.
The Department of Meteorology urges the people to take necessary measures to minimize the dangers caused by temporary strong winds and lightning that may occur with thunderstorms.
