The Department of Meteorology says that some rains may occur in Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and Galle and Matara districts today (28). The department stated that rain or thundershowers may occur at a few places in the evening or night in Central, North-West, East, Uva and North-Central provinces.
The Department of Meteorology urges individuals to take the required precautions to reduce the risks brought on by storm-related lightning and transient high winds.
