The Department of Meteorology says that rain or thundershowers may occur in a few places in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Uva and North-Western provinces and Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Galle, Matara and Mannar districts in the evening or at night.
The Department of Meteorology urges the people to take necessary measures to minimize the dangers caused by temporary strong winds and lightning that may occur with thunderstorms.
