The Department of Meteorology says that in a few places in Uva province and in Matara, Hambantota, Ampara and Jaffna districts, rain or thunder may occur in the evening or at night.
The department stated that there is mainly rainless weather on the rest of the island.
There may be frosty conditions in the morning in Western, Sabaragamuwa and Central provinces and in Galle and Matara districts.
