The Department of Meteorology says that rain or thundershowers may occur at places in the evening or night in Western, Sabaragamuwa and North-Western provinces and Galle and Matara districts.
The department stated that rain or thundershowers may occur in a few places in North Central and Uva provinces and in Kandy, Nuwara Eliya and Mannar districts in the evening or at night.
The Department of Meteorology urges individuals to take the required precautions to reduce the risks brought on by storm-related lightning and transient high winds.
