The Department of Meteorology says that rain or thundershowers will occur in places in Uva, North-Central, North and Eastern provinces in the evening or at night.
The department states that some rain may occur in Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and Galle and Matara districts.
On the rest of the island, there is mainly rainless weather.
The Department of Meteorology urges people to take necessary measures to minimize the dangers caused by temporary solid winds and lightning that may occur with thunderstorms.
